Hollywood or Dean Collins Style is a slotted swing style with whips and cool smooth shapes.

The Smooth Hollywood style Lindy Hop workshop is a specialized dance class that focuses on the smooth and dynamic style of Lindy Hop that originated in the movie studios of Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s. This style is characterized by its flashy moves, shapes, and emphasis on performance.

Here’s what you can expect from the workshop:

Technique Focus: Instruction on the unique styling, footwork, and rhythm of Hollywood style Lindy Hop.
Classic Moves: Learning moves like the Swing Out, Whip, and Lindy Circle, which are fundamental to this dance style.
Performance Elements: Emphasis on the performance aspect, including how to execute moves with flair and confidence.

Interactive Learning: Opportunities to dance and practice with partners, allowing for focused learning.
Advanced Techniques: For more experienced dancers, workshops will include complex dips, tricks, that define the Hollywood style.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for dancing, and to bring a positive attitude and readiness to learn and have fun with fellow dance enthusiasts. Improve your dancing skills, meet new people, and immerse yourself in the energetic world of swing dancing!
